Do you want to know if your BluRay player has the Cinavia DRM protection installed?
When Cinavia was new, it was announced that all the BluRay players released from 2012 was required to have the Cinavia protection installed, this isn’t necessarily true. There are players out there who either never had their firmware updated or simply doesn’t have the audio protection installed.
Do not adjust the playback volume. The content being played is protected by Cinavia™ and is not authorized for playback on this device. For more information, see http://www.cinavia.com. Message Code 3. – Does it look familiar? We’re here to help!

Recommended players, without Cinavia
Currently, one manufacturer has said that they won’t support Cinavia, ever. They are called Oppo, and while they aren’t going to support the watermark – Their players are expensive. See a list of Oppo players here. There’s also the possibility to get an old BluRay player (from 2010) and never update its firmware, a solution which is less tempting.
Solutions for all Blu-Ray players
Already bought a BluRay player, or are don’t you want to get a Oppo BluRay player? No problem, the Cinavia Movie Fix 2.0 currently supports all BluRay players including the PS3. You can download their solution here.
We know a lot of people are craving for a Cinavia fix, bypass or even how to disable the DRM protection, we’re here to help!
There’s been a lot of activity the last few months during summer, since the blockbusters like Ted, Prometheus and Rock of Ages hit either DVD or BluRay. And as always, we get hit with Cinavia error messages 1 or 3. But luckely for you we’re here to list them and add them to the ones we know can either be fixed or bypassed regardin to the the audio watermarking technology. Now, there’s some of you who might think it’s important to cover the CAM or TS versions as well, but that’s pure piracy to us – So no, we won’t help you with those. But we do believe that if you’ve bought DVD or BluRay versions of MiB3, Show white, Ice age 4, Savages, or Lockout we don think you’re suppose to copy, edit or do anything you want with it. But, it’s of course not up to us – We don’t want anyone to disable Cinavia, since it’s a DRM protection and it’s illegal to modify.
We’ve bought it, tested it and now we can confirm
The Cinavia fix and bypass version for the Playstation 3 and BluRay player is in fact real and it does work. Visit this website and download the fix, since we can confirm that it does wonders for you movies! Enjoy fellow movie lovers!
Confirmed movies with Cinavia including Ted, MiB 3, Ice age 4…
For some reason, the Wikipedia page for Cinavia has stopped adding new movie titles which are affected by the Cinavia error message. I have no idea why, but luckily we use other sources to find the titles for you. This time we turn to the summer releases of 2012, including both DVD and BluRay movies.
The first blockbuster to make the cut is The Wrath of the Titans, which is the follow-up to the first Titans movie, which also had the Cinavia protection inserted. Then it’s on to the comedy genre, we’re we find Project X, a movie which has gotten an amazing low score at Rotten Tomatoes. So you shouldn’t be all too sad if you don’t get to see the movie. A friend of mine did say he liked it, but then he said New Years Eve was pretty good. Then we head on over to the scary movies and we found Mr Harry Potter (not the actual fictive person, but the actor) in The Woman in black. Once more, a movie affected by the Cinavia protection.
Eh, and Ghost Rider 2 also has the error. But please, if you’re anxious to see that movie – It’s better to hit your head against the wall several times. Or, that’s what I’ve been told any way. Underworld Awakening, now that’s another story. But not for the actual story, for some reason I don’t care about the plot.
Then we’ve got the new American Pie movie. The horrible, non-return to form, American Reunion. Actually we should be thankful it has the protection. The fewer people who actual see this, the better.
And then we move onto the cinema releases.
Men in black 3 Dark Shadows Snow white Battleship Prometheus Rock of Ages
How to solve these problems you ask?
Well, head on over to this Cinavia fix site, which is the only site which carries a legit working method. If there are any titles which we did miss, please let me know in the comments below!
The Cinavia error messages has begun to pop up on a range of new movie titles. Wikipedia has covered some of the titles but most of the Telesync and Cam movies are left out. One of them is the new version of 21 Jump Street – One of the biggest comedies of 2012 so far. Safe House, the thriller which hit theaters last month has also been watermarked with Cinavia.
In the DVD and BluRay department there are handfull of major releases. Most notable are Tintin and the new Underworld movie. The Vow has also been treated with a watermark, but to be honest – Isn’t that movie suppose to be really bad(?) As always, be sure to check out our Cinavia solution page to see how to get rid of these annoying error messages.
Latest titles to be affected
Bucky Larson: Born To Be A Star
A Dangerous Method
Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
The Ides Of March
In the Land of Blood and Honey
Jack & Jill
The Rum Diary
The Skin I Live In
The Adventures of Tintin
Please note that this page is now out of date. We’ve updated the list with a handfull of new movie titles this year. Including huge movies such as 22 Jump Street, A Million Ways to Die in the West and Neighbors. This only includes retail BluRay and DVDs since pirated movies, such as bootlegged CAM versions, aren’t allowed.
We understand the frustration that comes when dealing with the error messages and the confusion it creates, since it only outputs an error message and a URL. There’s also been new reports saying that both the Xbox One and Playstation 4 includes the protection, we’ve yet to confirm if it actually effects both consoles. We’ve seen a lot of complaints on the PS4, but none has appeared on the streaming service which the new Xbox provides. We’ll be updating you throughout on our blog and continue to update the list of movies.
While we don’t have any email support or forum, you’re welcome to use our comment section in the blog for everything related to the Cinavia Fix site.
Technically some of these movies were released late 2011, but it’s not until now there hitting DVD and BluRay release. The titles are as follows.
Cinavia DVD List
A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas
New years eve
You might not be too worried about a movie like New Years eve (man, it looks terrible) but it would be a shame if you wanted to watch Arthur Christmas with your kids. Or even worse, make a copy cause your kids tend to scratch the discs.
Cinavia BluRay List
This list is worse. It seems as if the movie studios who support Cinavia is focusing on BluRay releases this year. It’s an impressive amount of titles. The list is as follows.
Bucky Larson: Born To Be A Star
Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark
The Ides Of March
Midnight in Paris
The Rum Diary
The Skin I Live In
Some of these titles are also considered to be 2011 releases, such as Midnight in Paris and Moneyball. But there not officially getting a BluRay release until 2012.
As always, make sure to check our Cinavia solution page for more information on how to get rid of the error messages.
Moneyball is the most mainstream movies of the four, as it has Brad Pitt in the leading role. It’s the story of Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players. Unfortunately Cinavia also made it into the horror movie “Don’t be afraid of the dark”. While the movie hasn’t received great reviews – A few people will be surprised if they are trying to do back-up copies.
As always, look in our solution section for more information on how to get rid of the Cinavia error messages on both your Playstation 3 (PS3) and your BluRay player.
It seems as if we’ve hit the mother or all Movie DRM protection hacks, it’s time to finally hit back at Cinavia.
It’s been rough the last couple of weeks. We’re a site called “Cinavia fix”. It couldn’t be more obvious for anyone visiting the site that you would expect to have a fix for Cinavia by visiting and reading the site. But no, it’s been empty since the last method stopped working. And trust us, we’ve been looking hard to find a solution to this problem. Some say you can jailbreak your PS3 and get Showtime on there, and you’ll be fine. But who has the ability to downgrade their Firmware nowadays? No one, that’s who…
But, what’s that? A working solution?
A team called CiNAViAPS3 has said they’ve cracked the system. And it’s been confirmed by other sources too. I visited the teams website yesterday, and I’ve got to say – The site is pretty horrible when it comes to design. It’s pretty ugly and it’s basically a big sales pitch. So I was skeptical, along with several forum members. But I did order the product… Waited patiently and yes – I can confirm, it works!
For how long I don’t know but now it truly seem to work wonders. I’ve been trying both CAMs, Telesyncs… BluRays, you name it – I’ve tried it. I should mention that it’s only working for the PS3 at the moment, not stand-alone BluRay players.
